I played my next season in a town called Marburg, which is an hour away from Frankfurt by car. When I think of Marburg, I remember the cold weather and living in snow for the first time. (I was born and raised in California). I reminisce about German lessons and beer with wiener schnitzel. Also, I think of the tennis club in which I had a membership. At the club I ate in a restaurant. German chefs made authentic German meals. They love meat, so I would have a plate consisting mostly of meat with French fries. I also enjoyed all the different beers from light to dark, but learned to be aware of the huge servings.
